Sunday School for all ages meets weekly before worship at 10:00 a.m. Classes use a variety of thematic and Bible Study curricula. The structure for the youth and adult class is informal and conversational, with the aim of creating a safe space for people to ask questions, share their own faith experiences, and hold different views while learning and growing together. The class for young children allows for the learning of Bible stories through song, games, crafts and creative play.
Children and youth are welcome and encouraged to participate fully in the worship and ministries of Northwood and to share their gifts. Each worship service includes a dedicated teaching time for young disciples, and there are frequent opportunities for children and youth to help lead in worship as appropriate. Additional special ministry offerings occur throughout the year, such as game nights, movie nights and summer camp for older youth, and Lunch with Santa and Easter Egg Hunt for younger children.
